Ingredients
BBQ sauce
  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic gloves
  • ½ tablespoon smoke paprika
  • 1 tablespoon dried mustard
  • 4 tablespoons vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons tomato paste
  • ⅓ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup carob syrup
  • 3 tablespoons tamari
  • salt and pepper
Fries
  • 8 big potatoes chopped in 1 cm thick fries
  • 1 tablespoon smoke paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper
Instructions
Fries
  1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees C. Line a baking sheet. Place chopped potatoes in a big bowl field with water for 30 min. Drain liquid and dry potatoes well.
  2. Place chopped potatoes in the bowl and add paprika, thyme, onion powder.
  3. Mix potato well, spread coated potato chips in a single layer, leaving space around each potato, on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes; flip fries and continue baking until crisp and browned, about 20 more minutes.
BBQ sauce
  1. In a medium saucepan, add olive oil, chopped onions, sauté until soft and brown. Add the rest of ingredients of the BBQ sauce. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to simmer. Cook uncovered, stirring frequently, for 5-7 minutes.
